LIGHT UP MONTCLAIR - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30TH

Diwali, the festival of lights, commemorates a triumph of light over darkness and is a time for all to gather together and celebrate new beginnings.

AAPI Montclair’s annual Diwali festival honors the diverse, rich traditions of the South Asian diaspora. Spend the day with us at the iconic Montclair Art Museum while enjoying live performances, family-friendly arts & crafts, readings from local South Asian authors, and sweet and savory bites from popular neighborhood restaurants and food trucks. Be sure to stay until the end, when you’ll get a chance to learn first-hand how to dance like a Bollywood star with a surprise guest performance!

AAPI Montclair’s mission is to create a more inclusive New Jersey by uplifting the varied experiences of its Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, advocating for AAPI rights and representation, and promoting awareness and education around AAPI culture and history.
